The challenge
enDAQ needed a website that could present technically sophisticated products without overwhelming the visitor. The challenge was to translate a complex offering into a clear digital experience—one that helps users understand the product lines, navigate by use case, and move toward inquiry or purchase with less confusion.
The solution
Olibro developed a Shopify-based website that brings greater clarity and structure to enDAQ’s digital presence. We organized the experience around product understanding, application-driven navigation, and cleaner communication of technical value. The result is a more accessible, professional, and conversion-ready platform for a highly specialized audience.
enDAQ is the flagship sensor brand of Mide Technology, a Hutchinson company — precision data loggers built for aerospace, defense, automotive, and industrial engineering teams. Six years of continuous Shopify development, a custom PDF quote engine, and a structured SEO programme.
The problem
Engineering procurement doesn’t fit a default Shopify checkout. Buyers spec sensors with eight to eleven embedded channels, request volume pricing, and need a formatted PDF quotation before a purchase order can move. The store also had to launch and maintain a steady stream of new products — the W8 Wireless among them — without breaking the existing catalog or the SEO baseline that engineering buyers rely on to find the right device.
What we delivered
- A custom PDF quote engine. A server-hosted script at endaq.olibro.net that takes customer and product inputs and renders a branded PDF price quotation through wkhtmltopdf. The same codebase served Mide’s sister property piezo.com before being separated into its own repo, and was migrated from Mide’s server onto a dedicated Hostinger VPS we manage end-to-end.
- A rolling Shopify development queue. Six years of front-end work on endaq.com and piezo.com — shared top navigation, homepage banner carousel, product pages, cart and checkout fixes, tariff surcharge logic, datasheet PDFs, datasheet downloads, dropdown menus. Coordinated with Jonathan and David Manion on the Mide side.
- A structured SEO programme. Standalone project launched April 2022 covering technical SEO, on-page optimisation, and ongoing monitoring. Schema.org markup across product, organisation, breadcrumb, and webpage types. Migration from Universal Analytics to GA4. GSC, GTM, Semrush rank tracking, Hotjar session recordings, and Attention Insights all live.
- Source control and platform reliability. GitHub repo for the quote generator, wkhtmltopdf kept on the current stable, Rewind running daily Shopify backups across both stores, and a two-week sprint plan running into Q4 2025 to keep the prioritised list moving.
Why it matters
This isn’t a storefront we built and walked away from. It’s an active, three-track engagement — WebWork, Backend, SEO — serving a B2B audience whose buying process Shopify alone can’t handle. The trust that comes from running infrastructure cleanly for six years is the reason a homepage redesign is now in active pre-sale discovery as the next phase.
